My next Wikidot-related application is named Wikidot Writer and will be helpful for many Wikidot users.
It will make use of the Wikidot API. I'll be releasing information about it soon, telling you what it does, and posting a few screenshots.
The aim is to release the first official version in the week leading up to Christmas Eve, 2010.
There will most likely be test releases that I'll distribute before then, but the files will only be sent to a restricted list of Wikidot users for testing and feedback purposes to ensure that the first official version is compatible with as many systems as possible.
More details to be released soon.
Edit: Decided on a name — Wikidot Writer. The blog post has been updated to reflect this.
Oooh, I wonder what it could be…
Will you write it in C#?

I'm planning to write it in C#, but whether I stick with that depends on how these Mono tests go. If it will work on Mac OS X and Linux, then I'd like to start using C# instead of Java for future apps.

Awesome leiger can't wait for the Wikidot Writer realease! Any hints on the features it will have, new modules perhaps?

At least for the first release, I won't be focusing on adding anything like modules. It doesn't really have anything to do with the application's purpose (which I haven't mentioned yet). ;-)
